Kind of hard not to, when it’s spooked a few of my clients. [Pickpockets and small-timers trying out going straight, mostly. Even with bribes of donuts and cigars, some of them had been more terrified of retribution than desperate for free food, but at the very least Foggy has names:] You know some kids named Mike, Tony and Sasha?
[ If Padme trusted this guy, then Kanan can offer him something. Normally, he wouldn't be keen to just give out information to anyone in a position of authority - he's got a lot of kids to protect, some of whom have already been victimized by the authorities. ]
I've... heard of Sasha. Some of the other kids talk about him sometimes, but the others don't ring a bell, and none of them are regulars at the Center. I assume they're all involved in the gangs around here?
But right now that’s not relevant, so Foggy leaves it be. For now, there’s more to worry about, and he’s just glad Kanan seems to trust him enough to tell him about this.]
Yeah, they were. Mike and Tony were running drugs for the mob, but from what I was able to glean, they got too cocky. Sasha’s from a smaller gang that apparently sold in mob territory—apparently a few thugs were harassing him before he disappeared. And—I know it’s Maurtia Falls, and shit like this happens all the time, but I can’t shake this feeling that something’s not right.
You... might be right. I mean, the gangs, unfortunately, mostly police their own. [ And there’s not really much he can do to help most of the kids who get caught up in that. ]
But I’ve had a couple of regulars here at the Endeavor Center go missing, too. Neither of them, as far as I know, were involved in gang stuff. Both had families who might’ve tracked them down, but... Yeah, it doesn’t feel quite right. And I can’t talk to the cops.
[Well, Foggy regularly does, but only because he sometimes helps out with repairs. He's piled up a lot of favors with the less dirty cops, the ones who're more willing to accept donuts and cigars and coffee as bribes instead of money Foggy doesn't have.]
You can talk to a lawyer. I know at least three, including myself. [It's a strange world they live in if you can trust lawyers more than you can trust cops.] If it's not prying too much: what are their names? Did they have anything in common with each other, besides the center?
Sensible. If they harass you at any point, let me know, I'll give them hell for it.
[He means it.]
Klein's pretty good at what he does, yeah. As lawyers go, he and his partner are damn good ones. [Although David did fall off the deep end during that shit with the false pantheon, apparently.] He used to be a prosecutor, so if you're ever in legal trouble, he has insights into how the other side might work out a strategy. Who knows, those insights might even be helpful now.
Where were they last seen? Maybe I can ask around there, see if I can dig up a lead on where they could have gone.
I'm told they were visiting a friend of theirs who recently moved to the suburbs. [ Kanan rattles off the name of the suburb in question. ] They were heading back to the city, and that's the last time anyone saw them.
Victor Santiago and Penny Daniels. He's about 1.6 meters tall, she's about 1.4 meters. I know she's got purple hair and he's trying to grow a beard. Sorry I can't be more specific.

...yeah. I was her legal counsel.

I've been working with David Klein - he's all right. But I suppose you can never have too many sympathetic lawyers on your side...
They were friends, I think, or at least spent time together. They were last seen together, anyway, so they definitely ran in similar social circles.

I appreciate the help.

The suburbs, huh? I’ll take a cab out there, ask after them. Can you give me physical descriptions, at least, if you can’t give me names?
